Virus riddled little T

Sure - it's been 2 months and I arrive in your lives with a sickness post. It's not like I don't have other things swirling around my brain like Joe's new bike, Ryan's last day of grade school, upcoming summer plans including an actual vacation or two, and perhaps even counting CD's. Not that we're trying or that I think my body is 'normal', but that's a whole other story.

But no, my mind is consumed with all things virus. This little girl of mine has been running a fever for a week now. A high fever. Temps of 104 fever. Not summer vacation like in any sense of the word. She is unhappy, not eating, sleeping fitfully, and hot. Not hawt, but hot. And I'm worried and tired and a bit manic by this point.

This week has included an office visit, an ER visit, having some fine looking paramedics in our living room, and another office visit. Yes, paramedics. Yesterday. When the fever spiked to 104 again and hands and feet and arms were turning blue... again. She was not pleased by this, or any of the goings on of the week and I really can't blame her.

All of this just leads to the diagnosis of virus. Crap. You can't do anything to speed along a virus. NOTHING. That is so very very frustrating to us. So, we sit and watch and snuggle and pace and try to keep her from getting dehydrated and hope she doesn't turn blue.... again.

I don't like seeing her like this...
